Is the $349/month flat, or does it scale with the employee's salary?

It's completely flat. You pay $349 per employee per month whether you're hiring a junior engineer or a senior engineer earning the equivalent of USD 100,000 a year — no salary tiers, no percentage markups, and no surcharges for senior hires. The fee is per employee, so a three-person team is $1,047 a month, billed transparently. At higher salaries the flat fee is exceptional value: $349/month on a USD 100,000 engineer is roughly 4% of salary.

Do I have to pay a deposit, and when am I billed?

No deposit is required. We invoice the monthly salary plus the $349 EOR fee at the start of each month and pay your employee at the end of the month — a standard payroll-in-advance cycle, with no cash locked away. That's a deliberate difference from deposit-based global EORs, some of which hold a full month's gross salary upfront per employee and freeze your working capital from day one. With SynkPay, your cash stays in your account until it's actually due.

What's included in the $349, and what costs extra?

The $349 covers the complete Employer of Record service: India-compliant employment contracts, monthly payroll, all statutory filings and contributions (EPF, ESI, professional tax, TDS), leave management, IP and confidentiality clauses as standard, and ongoing human support. Three things are separate, optional services with their own pricing: recruitment (12% of annual salary, charged only on a successful placement), background verification ($300 per employee, one-time), and HR outsourcing or RPO. We never bundle these into the EOR fee or charge for them unless you ask.

Are there any setup, offboarding, or hidden fees?

No. There's no setup fee, no onboarding fee, no offboarding or termination fee, and no minimum headcount. The $349 per employee per month is the entire EOR cost. When an employee leaves, we manage the full exit under Indian labour law — notice period, final settlement, and experience letter — at no extra charge.

How much is recruitment, and what if the hire doesn't work out?

Recruitment is a flat 12% of the candidate's annual salary, billed once on a successful placement — there's no upfront or retainer fee, so you only pay when you hire someone we've sourced. It's a separate service from EOR; many clients use us to both find and employ their India team, but you can use either on its own. Every placement comes with a 90-day replacement guarantee: if the hire leaves or doesn't work out within 90 days of joining, we find a replacement at no additional fee.

How does $349 compare to Deel or Remote for India hiring?

SynkPay's flat $349/month is roughly half the true India cost of the global platforms. Deel's India cost lands around $649–749/month once its India surcharge is added to the $599 base, plus a one-month salary deposit per employee; Remote lists $599/month. Those platforms cover 150+ countries and treat India as one of many — we've run a directly owned India entity since 2016 and do nothing but India hiring, with human support instead of ticket queues. For teams concentrated in India, that's a lower price and deeper local expertise.
